From Today, Friday 13 September, First Bus services through the University of York Campus have been replaced. Both the names of buses and their routes have been updated, and you can expect to see these changes around York immediately.

The routes previously known as the 66 and 67 are now the U2 and U1 respectively, however, they are still free between York Sport Village and the Retreat for students.

The CB1 is now the UN1, and runs every day between midnight and 04:22. The existing C1 and C2 campus shuttle buses with routes around York Science Park are no longer in service.

Instead, two new bus routes through campus are being introduced. Both begin at the Campus East Interchange, but follow the previous Campus shuttle routes around the science park before driving past Heslington Hall.

The first is the U3, which drives past Halifax College, Fulford and then approaches the city centre as it arrives at the Barbican.

The second is the U4, a weekend-only service, that takes students from the Campus East Interchange through Fulford to the York Designer Outlet.

To summarise, the only buses running through the University of York Campus are the U1, U2, U3, U4 and UN1.
