Established in 1964, Nouse is the original media society at the University of York, and is committed to providing something unique for our students: content which is directly York student related. Nouse was the Guardian Student Media awards runner-up for newspaper in 2008 and winner for the Guardian Student Media awards website of the year and NUS best media society award in 2009.

Nouse is a compact, tabloid-sized newspaper. Released three times a term, Nouse is distributed right across campus, and has an estimated readership of 10,000. We print adverts in full colour, and in four different sizes, and have different prices for local and national companies.

Nouse.co.uk experiences 7,500 impressions from 1,300 users during a typical day, with increased daily averages of over 11,000 impressions from 2,000 users per day during the week the print edition is released. Specific events on campus, such as SU Elections, bring even higher figures.

During May 2010, we experienced 290,874 impressions from 67,569 visits by 28,800 unique visitors, with most hits coming from University computers in the york.ac.uk domain. This is a unique opportunity to capture a very targeted audience.

Our standard web advertising slots consist of two standard half-banner slots (234 by 60 px), and one full-banner slot (468 by 60 px) on every page, and we can also include non-standard sizes and skyscrapers on all of our article pages, please contact the Managing Director for more information and our rates.
