It has been announced that the University of York has been nominated for the Times Higher Education award for International Collaboration.

The award, presented annually, recognises a university who has demonstrated a commitment to working with other universities across the globe. York has partnerships with universities across the world such as Pennsylvania State University, University of Cape Town, University of Sydney and Seoul National University.

The University is also a member of the Worldwide Universities Network (WUN), a group of universities that work together to promote research and teaching collaborations.

York is up against five other universities for the award, including The University of Oxford, The University of Southampton and King’s College London.

The University has celebrated success at the Times Higher Education awards recently, having won the award for ‘Outstanding Contribution to Leadership Development’ last year.

The winners of all of the Times Higher Education Awards will be announced on 26 November at a ceremony at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London.
