Cocktail-a-Day: Mother Rum

Relax on Saturday night with a vintage number on the rocks

cocktail week

In commemoration of it being ten years since Mother Teresa was beatified, settle down and have a Mother Rum this Saturday evening. Just think; you have the whole of Sunday to recover before even thinking about lectures.

Celebrate her penultimate step to becoming a saint with a hardcore rum. The rum ready recipe is 2 shots of Bacardi 8-Year-Old Rum, a ¼ shot of White crème de cacao liqueur and a ¼ shot of Maple syrup. Stir all the ingredients with ice and strain into ice-filled glass. To quote its creator, Milo Rodriguez, this drink is “warm and comforting, just like the drinks my mother made.” Oh and of the course you can’t forget the garnish; place a cinnamon stick into the old-fashioned glass for pure sophistication.
