Members of Goodricke College gathered last night at Yates’s to hear the results of their JCR committee elections 2010/11, in an evening led by reigning Chair and Vice-Chair, Tim Ellis and Alex Reid.

With the event doubling as a College Christmas party, attendees were treated to red wine, while the results were revealed. James Killer was announced as Treasurer, beating his rival by 213 votes to 80; while Liam O’Shaughnessy and Henna Ishaq were elected LGBT Officers.

However, many of the roles were uncontested and not all of the positions on the JCRC have been filled.

The night concluded with the much anticipated announcement that this year’s Goodricke College Chair of the JCRC is Nacho Hernando Serrano who beat his opponent Chris Smith by 262 votes to 120. He, and the rest of the newly-elected committee, will take over their roles in the next few weeks.

The results are as follows:

Chair: Nacho Hernando Serrano
Vice Chair for Activities and Participation: Peter Sharpe
Vice Chair for Services: Hannah Colbourne
Treasurer: James Killer
Secretary: Joshua Hennings
LBGT Officers: Liam O’Shaughnessy and Henna Ishaq

  1. Liam Carney elected as Bar Rep? No such person exists. A year and a half later and this still hasn’t been rectified. Come on Nouse, your standards are on par with that of Derwent College accommodation.
