Iris Van Herpen

Iris Van Herpen
Entitled Synesthesia, a condition which causes one type of stimulation to evoke another sensation, Van Herpen drew on radiation waves to electrifying effect. Freemasons Hall was abuzz with show-goers and photographers trying to secure places- and for good reason; the show was her best to date. The start was marked with strobe lighting, followed by a visually exciting collection: 3D structures were built around the models, awash with shiny metallics and muted graphites. It was reminiscent of giant insects glistening in the sun.
