Jason Rose, the current Campaigns Officer, claims that he is the right candidate because of his experience on various academic committees at the University during his time as a student. Rose has sat on University Senate for three years and sees that he is “the only candidate with relevant experience”.
Rose’s policies are concerned with: Higher Education Funding; the renovations to the JBM library; students with learning disabilities; and a shift in focus to current students. The third year Physics student has stated that he has “read every report ever published on modularisation, I think that it’s a good system.”
Rose has faith in his own competency for the role of Academic Officer: “I’d urge people… to vote for the person who they think will be best at representing students and fighting for their causes.”
