Applefields School makes provision for children aged 11-19 with moderate, severe and profound learning difficulties. It is the only secondary school in York that provides for secondary school students with these additional needs. The school is undertaking several projects to enhance sensory stimulation, including a project to create a sensory garden in conjunction with volunteers from York University.
