Halifax abolish Ents Reps in new reforms
The Halifax College Student Association has adopted a new constitution and, in an attempt to improve college spirit, will become the first college to abolish Entertainment Reps. They will be replaced by Court Entertainment Officers, who will organise smaller events within each of Halifax’s eight courts.
Roberto Powell, President of the HCSA, said that the decision was made because “four Ents officers were not enough for a college of Halifax’s size.”
Stephen O’Ryan, a current Ents Rep, said that the court events may prove to have a detrimental effect in the long run, saying “only time will tell if it’s successful.”
