Start 'em Sit 'em » Vote for your College Cup Goal of the Tournament now

Parris Williams’ stunning left-foot volley against Vanbrugh Seconds? That unbelievable long-range Mark McLeod curler in the quarter-final? Or even Udy Onwudike’s last-gasp header that sent Alcuin Seconds into the next round at the expense of opponents Halifax Seconds?

The choice is yours. Vote for your College Cup Goal of the Tournament below and we’ll announce the winner in the next edition of Nouse (on campus this Tuesday). If you’re having any trouble deciding, refresh your memory in the Nouse Sport archives: we’ve been there for every cup game.

Among the dark-horse entries are Hugh Pryce’s delicious chip against Alcuin Seconds that earned him the Man of the Match – it was that good – and David Slater’s boomtown effort from long-range when Derwent Seconds drew 1-1 with Wentworth firsts. Top, top goals and either could sneak first prize.

Another potential winner is Jamie Tyler’s audacious overhead kick for Derwent Seconds against Vanbrugh Thirds on 25 May. The defender had already stunned fans by venturing from defense into the alien territory of the centre-forward position and hit an absolute gem.

But at the end of the day, it’s your shout… so get voting!

My own goal doesn’t get a look in?

  4. Parris Williams says:

Surley we need to have a special mention for Dave’s ridiculous celebration for Goodricke 2nd’s when they beat Vanbrugh 1st where he decided to take of his top and smash himself into the fence completely f**king both his knees up, total lol.

  5. Dan Horsfall says:

Derwent seconds did not beat Wenty firsts, they drew.

Goulands wonder goal in the group stage not even on the short list? ?
This effort made mark mcleods look average.
It was further out, hit the top corner better and not to mention he beat 3 players
    In the process.

feel i need to clean this one up once and for all. as wonderful a player as connor brennan is the ‘overhead kick’ against ‘derwent thirds’ was not only a jammy shin in after falling over but it was against god-awful james 2nds. he is also an absolutely bollocks dancer. but he is a nice man with a lovely smile…. word.

  11. Gouland fan says:

I vote Gouland’s, absolute genius. Parris’ came off his shin so I hear…

  12. Mrs Tyler says:

Jamie Tyler is a god on the football pitch

  13. gouland sceptic says:

Anton claimed that gouland didn’t care about the college cup but that
Goal surely put that theory to bed. Although gouland can at time be overated, leaving
This goal out is a joke.

  14. Anton Murphy says:

I have scored more goals than everyone on that list. I deal with quantity not quality…

  15. Edward Amoroso says:

What about that Langwith (2nds?) player who banged one in from about 30 yards? That surely has to be the winner!

  16. Richard Keys says:

After scanning all the replays available, the Parris ‘volley’ was definately the best placed shinned finish in college cup history. Surely a mis-hit off the shin can’t be considered one of the best goals, i mean how bad were all the others????? No coincidence at all that the writer is from the same college. Goulands’s should be in there instead and is my choice for winner!!!
