Arran is the name of the photographer that took that photo. We regularly have the name of the photographer next to the photo they took, both online and in the paper.

Udy’s comment has to be seconded I feel, very fair in every sense. Did Nouse just decide to not watch that game then? I seem more bitter than I am, like Udy said, job is done, but we all gave everything in that game to turn around a 2-0 deficit to win 3-2 and we just feel no credit has been given. Credit where credit’s due!

Jlim Sim’s (?) ‘Benitez’-esq comment is in bad taste and just poor all round – no offence, i don’t know who you are!

If Langwith won I swear that result would not have meant much?

Yes Dom, Derwent Vs Vanbrugh was emotional…Today showed that anyone can win this cup. Two goals from a previously average striker in this tournament today, saved Vanbrugh from embarassement and also ended Derwent’s clean-sheet record so far. I now have become fully aware of the reality that a little bit of luck is needed if you expect to win this cup.

I would like to also make a few predictions from this point forward…I believe that Derwent will win this cup, it will be messy but we should do a job. The golden boot will be collected by Dom and £50 will collected by me from Udy.

if you want to do the write ups and your willing to accept responsibility then in all fairness, you have to turn up to the games and actually conduct a report. i honestly dont mind either way we won the game and its done now but i think we deserve more credit than you have given us.

Didn’t get told really, considering neither side had anything to play for and in the case of Halifax and Alcuin, these “championship” sides both beat Langwith. At the end of the day, if they don’t have a report, fair enough.

I can see what Gibby means though because, although Langwith put up a great performance against us and nearly caused an upset, both their goals were pretty fortunate so i don’t think you could say they outplayed us. In fairness they did contain us well for long periods and probably deserved a draw from the game.

Hopefully the College Cup will throw up some more interesting matches before the end of term, Derwent V Vanbrugh certainly lived up to expectations.

No disrespect either Gibby, but Langwith produced probably their best performance in the time I’ve been at this uni, outplaying Dom O’Shea, Tom Wilson, Chris Grayland, Adam Leadbeater, Remi Remington et al. Alcuin’s match was one you really had to be there to appreciate, I feel, although it was fantastic, granted. It’s also a matter of whether we actually *have* a report from the game, if you see what I mean.

But to be honest, Goodricke are one of the favourites for the Cup, and for this reason get more column inches. I’d compare it to a cracking game in the Championship between Reading and Birmingham taking centre-stage over a report of West Brom outplaying a full-strength Man Utd team at Old Trafford as they approach the title run-in: I know which game The Times would lead with…

why is it that the most epic game to be played on the JLD got a mere 1 sentence representation on Nouse? Alcuin 3 Halifax 2?? Last minute winner to send Alcuin through and Halifax out? How is Langwith vs Goodricke more important? No disrespect to either side, but it isn’t!
