Excellent article - so well written and well thought. I have just written a non-fiction book called 'Celebrating Diversity' which draws upon Indian culture and pluralism, where bio-diversity is not separate from human diversity and difference is seen as normal. Many cultures over the years have embraced diversity, yet Britain is still very proud about itself and too afraid to allow different cultures and ideals to influence its pride. It is losing out as a result - big time.
