As the days shorten and night closes in the ancient city comes alive with contemporary arts and culture.

Experience a new side to York after dark during Illuminating York with cutting-edge outdoor artwork, exhibitions, site-specific performances and tours in some of the ancient city’s many special places. Building on the success of Recovered Light, last winter’s immense projection on the East end of York Minster, this Autumn will feature a new groundbreaking interactive installation, Evoke by artist Usman Haque.
