I'll re-post my comment as it would appear that my first attempt was (accidentally?) removed. Let's hope for the sake of
free speech that my second attempt actually remains on here...

This story doesn't stand up for (in my opinion) the following reasons:

1) Why doesn't Florences' American friend Hilda make herself known? She stumpted up the cash to bring Florence to the USA only for her money to go missing and Florence has not been delivered to her.

2) Why go to such elaborate methods to have Florence delivered to her by having a rather dodgy (and apparently untrustworthy) character to do her bidding for her?

3) Why does Florence want to live in the UK? Surely she was heading to the USA??

If these questions can be answered properly then fair enough; my sympathies to Florence and good luck to her, but I do feel that your reporter and others do seem to be taking this case at face value and appear rather naive.

The isolation of disbelief: Florence's Story.

I would like to write an article on this story but i cant seem to get any viable contacts that i can use to get in contact with Florence Moses. i work for a media organisation, Behind the Mask which publishes articles online about gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender and intersex people in Africa. I feel that this would be a great article to mobilise issues of the LGBTI community in Sierra Leone.

Please get back to me if you have any numbers that i can use to talk to her.
