Xtra Live is York’s longest running and best attended College live music event, showcasing the hottest talent in and around the University of York.
JJ’s is the only bar on campus that has the space for live music with a great atmosphere! We also have all the kit to make live music sound amazing.
Since 2004, we’ve hosted loads of fantastic bands, including Cardboard Radio, Holly Tamar, The Stanleys and Sitting Still from York, Vallenbrosa from Portsmouth and Little Man Tate from Sheffield. We’ve also had some of the best campus bands: The Morning Thieves, The Moguls, I Am Jack, Fly Me Friendly, El Mono, Jon Comlay, and many more!
