Lauren,

I think what Barry means is why should someone take credit for someone else's work?

John, why are you so bothered? Does it really matter who does the job, if it still gets done?

In a recent ask YUSU question Micky outlined his achievements.

I have a few question I tried to ask through ask yusu but it would not let me. thought I might put them here for discussion.

"A reformed constitution?"
Did this not fail to pass?

"A five year strategic plan?"
Didn't you write this in conjunction with fellow officers? - You didn't achieve this by yourself.

"Introduction of Union Code?"
Didn't this have to be done by exec anyway under last years constitution?

"101 Union Scoieties?"
Is this not an achievement of the societies officer?

"A rebranded Your:Print?"
Surely this is the Services Officer's job? Did he not do this?

"Ensured stduent representation on University Committees?"
Doesn't every President do this?

"Online AU membership?"
Surely this was up to the AU to organise?

"Student paper and radio of the year?"
This may be so but did they not win for 2004-5 rather than 2005-6? In whcih case you surely cannot take credit for this. Besides it was the societies that won the awards.

"New funding process for societies and JCRCs?"
Was this not outlined in last years constitution.

"Largest turn out in years for UGM?"
Well done.

"DVD rental in Your:Shop?"
Again, surely this is the Services Officers job.

"A media affiliate?"
Again, was this not outlined last year?

"Online voting at UGMs?"
Didn't Chris Jones get this passed?

"A trans inclusive Union?"
Was this not a constitutional reform last year?

"All paper is recycled?"
Well Done.

"Online ticket sales?"
Again, is this not the job of the societies officer?

"A refurbished office space?"
Again, is this not the job of the societies officer?

"A breakeven Union budget?"
Is this not the job of the Treasurer?

"Electronic sign on building?"
Again, is this not the job of the societies officer?

"Wentworth back in College sport?"
Is this not the job of the AU?

"More events every week?"
Is this not the job of the ents and services officer?

"Disability sport in College sport?"
Is this not thanks to the AU?

"Standard pricing on vehicle hire?"
Again, is this not the job of the services officer?

"The biggest Freshers week ever produced?"
Again, is this not the job of the services officer?

"Computers and offices for societies and magazine?"
Was this not arranged last year?

"Part time design staff?"
Again, is this not the job of the services officer?

"A reformed event booking process?"
Again, is this not the job of the enst and services officer?

"Dry hire of events equipment for societies?"
Again, is this not the job of the services officer?

"A branding strategy?"
Again, is this not the job of the services officer?

"Tactile maps of campus?"
Well done.

"Introduction of online forms?"
Again, is this not the job of the communications officer?

"All societies funding distributed by xmas?"
Again, is this not the job of the treasurer officer?

"Engagement with carbon management programme?"
Don't know what this is.

"Effective welfare campaigns?"
Is this not the job of the education and welfare officer?

"Why don't you pick one of the above?"
I would love to but apart from tactile maps, paper recycling and a UGM turnout (probably due to electronic voting) what have YOU achieved?
