<description>Fair point: Banner's waistline is irrelevant when we should have been talking about his music. However, we found it difficult to take him seriously when he behaves in such a misogynist manner. Have you heard it? It's rubbish. Apart from the bit about the 'peppermint swirl'.

I don’t agree that our reviews are examples of ‘quasi-fashuinable cynicism’. It just wasn’t a great week for singles. Jack Johnson is quite pleasant, but I wouldn’t go any further than that. As we said, the Battle song goes on too long (but the first two and a half minutes are pretty good); it just gets a bit repetitive. We liked The Young Knives’ B-sides, just not the single itself.

Sorry you don’t agree with our opinions on these tracks, but that’s just it: they’re only our opinions, whether ‘over-hyped’ or not. If you want to do something about what you perceive as the poor quality of the Nouse music pages, then write for us.

This issue will be my first as music editor and I’m determined to make sure the page represents a lot of musical views. Would you like to review this week’s singles?

		<description>I don't understand....

Are these actually reviews or just over-hyped opinions? So what if David Banner is fat, what bearing does that have on his music? Each of these two liners is just filled with quasi-fashuinable cynicism and you contribute no actual criticism or review...

Did anyone in the music team actually listen to any singles this week? The Battle song is immense and the Young Knives single is a wonderful offering from such a low-key band. However, you suggest that Jack Johnson is quite pleasant?

Seriously, work it out guys.. you are being outshone by the Vision music pages!!
