I would like to correct the first sentence of this article by pointing out that "The KinkiIndie Show" previously ran on URY from at least 2002 to 2004; and in exactly the same slot. The show discontinued in the summer of that year when the then presenters, Rachel Dunkley and Lily Smith, left York.

Rach & Lily would do exactly the same as the current presenters: dash from URY's studios to Toffs and do the first couple of hours (as did DJ Gav, who stills DJs at Toffs, along with working for the University's Computing Service).
