SU President’s legacy to new team
IN A PARTING gift to the new Student Union President and the newly revamped SU Building, James Alexander has left a little bit of himself behind.
The Andy Warhol style landscape image of the so-called ‘Presidents of the Millennium’ now hangs on the wall of the SU Office with a cry for all to remember those who have worked there. It is hoped that it will inspire students to reach for the heights in the world of student politics.
It has already sparked some controversy, as Chris Jones has complained that the colours make him appear to be the only nudist SU President. Now students will be under the watchful eye of not one, but six, Presidents.
The artist reportedly has strong ambitions for the future, and plans to run for the local elections 2007 in the Heslington ward have been rumoured.
